SubhanAllah! This lecture is about how we need to stop being lazy as Muslims. One quote that really explains the main point of this lecture is "Do not shun the world but shun worldliness."
Don't let the world control you but control your world. Be productive Muslims. You don't have to be in the masjid 24/7 or something similar, but we need to live in this world. We want to show people that the same Muslims who were once so successful in being beneficial to society, can once again be beneficial to society. Muslims in the past have discovered so many useful things but what happened now? Why is it that the name of Muslims is tied with the terrorism? Its time that we use our talents, hobbies, and interests to show people the honor of Islam, what Islam teaches and how Islam only causes one to succeed both in this life and the hereafter.
Insha'Allah I hope we all take this advice seriously. I'm not saying we should all become sheikhs or whatnot but with what we want to become, try to be the best. Don't let "self-righteousness" tell you that being successful in this world means being a failure in the hereafter.
And Allah knows best.
